(bottle) Clear, greenish golden colour with a medium-sized foamy white head. Slightly sweet pale malty aroma with a shy grainy note and herbal, slightly woody hops. Slightly bitter flavour, light to medium bodied with a soft carbonation. Pale malt-character with with hints of grains and a mild hoppy presence, lingering into a dry sweet-bitter and slightly woody hoppy finish. A decent German Pilsener. 17.II.10

Bottle (thanx to Quack-Duck!): A bit hazy, pale greenish-golden coloured with a medium-sized white head, that sticks to the glass; sweet pale malt and "woody" hoppy nose; light to moderate sweet-bitter flavour, soft and light bodied; slightly lingering fruity-hoppy and pale-malty finish. Pleasant PILS......

bottle, bought at the brewery. Clear pale yellow colour, large white head. Hoppy nose. Malty backgroiund with some fruity accents and a shy but pleasant hop character. This beer ha sthe typical Horneck character. Perhaps you’ve got to get used to that character, its is diferent to other beers from teh area, but after a while very very pleasant. Herbal hop flavours dominate, malt is in the background. A nice everyday-Pilsener from the heart of the Hallertau.

Bottled(500ml). -from some supermarket near German-Czech border.
Lemon yellow coloured, medium sized white head that went away fast, grainy lemony nose. Malty, boiled vegetables (cauliflower and carrot). Quite dry finish. Interesting beer, but nothing more than interesting.

Found in a somewhat bigger store in Germany en route to Plzen (I forgot the name of the... village?), purchased by and shared with ogivlado (thanks!) These guys are apparently the only brewery in Bayern that uses its own hops, malt and water. Cute. Did it help? Hmm... dunno. It poured a lemony darker yellow body with a medium sized thick white head that took its time to go away. The nose is dominated by a sticky grainy maltiness, with some lemon to indicate the presence of hops. A smooth, silky even mouthfeel that gets dry and unfortunately brings out a vegetable taste that falls somewhere between between beets and carrots. Just a little yoghrurtey. Odd, rustic, not the greatest beer around but kinda drinkable and interesting in a way. Not that it’s a good beer.

Bready malt nose. Morning urine yellow, low lacing head. Malt dominates the flavor and is also cloying the aftertaste. Not exactly very pilsenery, more like a run of the mill Helles with a herbal exit.
