Pretty nicely done. Just the right amount of guava. Easy drinking. Pours hazy yellow with good head. Light tangy finish. Some citrus. Tap at barhop.

(On tap at Bar Hop, May 22 2014) Pours a hazy yellow-gold with a moderate-sized frothy white cap and lots of lace. Aroma is quite guava-forward compared to the original 2013 version, grassy hops, a little Brett barnyard funk and a light pale malt sweetness at the core. On the palate, an even greater amping up of guava compared to the 2013, some pale lightly bready malt, slight tart/funky/sweaty Brett but it doesn’t take over the beer. Herbal hops complement the flavour but bitterness fairly light. Finish has lingering guava character and a bit of grain, mineral with a slight funk. Impression of sweetness comes from the fruit, otherwise quite a dry beer. Medium bodied with moderate but effervescent carb. I thought the restrained guava of the first version was good, but this fruit forward version is even better! Brett character nicely integrated, adds complexity without taking over flavour. Need more now that patio weather is upon us. Disclaimer: I quite like guava.
