I’m not a fan of schwarzbier, but this one was really good. Deep black colour, roast-malty aroma. It’s more zippy than I exspected. The malty taste is really constant. A good beer.

On tap at Berliner Bierfestival. Clear, dark brown body, with a minimal beige head. Quite weak aroma, with small amounts of roasted malt and grains. The flavor is fuller, with roasted malt, grains and fruityness. Quite pleasant. Medium body. It finishes slightly roasted, with a little fruity hoppiness. A decent, quaffable beer. (070803)
