50cl bottle. Pours golden with gentle bubbles and a nice head. The nose has sweet malt and meadow flowers. The taste has fresh grass and herbs. The palate is light to medium in body with a long bitter finish. Overall, I really love the aroma but it falls away from then, though not too much.

Clear yellow colour with a white head. A bit sweet nose, with some fruity and caramel notes. Mild sweet and fruity flavour. Unfortunatelt a bit waterish also.

Cask at Blackfriars, Aberdeen. It pours golden yellow, with a decent, bubbly white head. The nose is dust, lemon washing-up liquid, wood and leaves. The taste is toasted malt, soap, lemon, dust, wet wood, straw and green vegetables, with a unpleasant, dry finish. Light body and soft carbonation. I couldn’t even finish a half....

Bottle from the Cave, Glasgow. Golden with a decent white head. Sweet. apricot and butterscotch aroma. Clashing flavours of sweet fruits, diacetyl and slightly ashy malts leading to a bitter finish. Not for me.

Dull bronze. The aroma is dull, footy and with diacetyl. Sweetish with light body and more foot. Light wheaty acidity adds nothing to this bitter. This much wheat in a bitter doesn’t really work, it’s a disjointed beer for me.
