Many thanks to Erzengel for sharing! As Homberg´s Landbier. A slightly hazy deep golden beer with a mid-sized most good lasting off-white head. Aroma of grainy malt, herbal hops, cardboard. Taste of dry grainy malt, wet paper, mild bitter hops.

33cl bottle as "Homberg’s Landbier from REWE Homberg, Dortmund. Hazy golden in the glass, the nose is grainy. Grainy yeasty beginning. Dry grainy, fresh and easy to drink with a bitter grainy finish. Drinkable Landbier, but nothing too special.

0.33 l bottle from ’REWE Richrath’ as ’Richrath’s Land Bier’, best before May 2017. Slightly hazy, golden yellow with a medium large, very dense, stable, white head. Sweetish, quite grassy, slightly fruity aroma of fresh grass, some citrus and a touch of grains. Sweetish, slightly malty, quite fruity-grassy taste of fresh grass, citrus, a touch of honey and slight hints of grains, followed by a short, moderately grassy-bitter, a bit dry finish. Thin to medium body, smooth and slightly effervescent mouthfeel, lively carbonation. Quite nice!

Hazy yellow with little white head. Aroma is citric and herbal wheat, wet cardboard, dust, a little graininess. Taste is grainy sourness, with a bitter alcoholic bite. Fresh rather sparkly mouthfeel, with more alcohol in the finish. Not good.

Wenig herber Antrunk, hell getreidig, weich. Bitterer werdend, süffig. Mild herber Ausklang, geringe Zitronen- und Hefenoten. Trinkbares Standard Landbier. 8/8/9/8/8/8
Earlier Rating: 5/7/2011 Total Score: 3.4
11/12/11/11/7/11
