The Coast Is Clear

Poured from a 16 oz can dated February 5, 2020. Aroma is rather hop forward and fruity with lots of passion fruit, melon, tropical citrus, and mango. Light resin notes and medium light cracker malt notes. Pours a fairly clear, bright, yellow gold with a medium large, thick, frothy, white head that recedes slowly to a small film that lingers. Medium lacing and faint legs. Flavor is somewhat sweet with light cracker malt notes. Moderate bitterness and a hint of alcohol spice. Quite a bit of mango, passion fruit, melon and tropical citrus notes. Light resin and pine notes. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty tasty IPA. Lots of nice fruity hop notes with some balanced malt notes and a crisp finish. I like this blend of west coast and east coast IPA and look forward to trying the other version.
