Poured from a 22 oz bottle. Aroma is sweet and malt forward with lots of layered caramel, sugar and toffee notes. Hints of nuttiness and toasted breads. Light sweet potato and maple notes with some medium light alcohol spice. Pours brown with a medium small, thick, tan head that recedes steadily to the edges where a small film lingers for a little while. Light lacing and moderate legs. Flavor is rather sweet with quite a bit of caramel, toffee, and sugar. Some light toasted bread, cracker and nutty notes. Hints of some roast and burnt sugar. Medium to medium light bitterness with medium light alcohol notes. Light maple and sweet potato notes. Mouthfeel is medium full bodied with medium carbonation. Low astringency and low to medium low alcohol warmth. Overall, a pretty decent quad, but this is definitely not a style I like too much. Could use some more adjuncts as well as Belgian esters and phenolics, but at lest it's clean.
