The 2024 edition of TRI!

For this beer we wanted to keep the recipe simple on the ingredients part, but complex throughout the process - from brewing to the bottle. Brewed with the finest pale malts and hopped exclusively with Styrian Golding hops. It is a tripel that has been barrel aged in freshly emptied Hagger barrels, giving it deep golden colour and a whole symphony of flavours. Freshly baked wheat bread, vanilla, oak, flowers, peach and a sweet spicy aroma with a long lasting dry and mildly bitter finish. The mouthfeel changes from rich and round to dry in the end.

Tri is one very elegant beer.

Bottled 375ml. -from Beerlovers Wien, shared with Hrabren & Marko. Unclear golden coloured, small white head, cheesy and yeasty nose. Yeasty, cheesy, light alcoholic and touch of oranges with spicy notes. Bit fruity also. Kinda odd.

0.375 l bottle shared with Ogi and Marko. Unclear golden to orange, small off-white head. Aroma is fruity, stone fruit, yeasty, cheesy, citrusy, tangerine, spicy, peppery. Smooth, strong, still drinkable, slightly oily texture. Peppery and alcoholic. Some banana. Sweetness, honey, malts and esters. Dry finish, light, abrupt.

0.375l bottle, thx Ogi for sharing with Hrabren and me! Lightly cheesy, citric, floral, bit herbal, mildly spicy aroma... wait, this is a tripel? Huh... Smooth, sweetish, lean taste, slightly oaky, bit of apricot jam, coconut, wood, lightly spicy and dryish in the finish. I mean, hah, okay, not the greatest of levels, but okay.

Bottle from the brewery. Fairly clear golden, not large and not lasting white head. Mild sweet nose ,fruity and flowery, later some yeast, more spices and some vanilla-woody presence. Mild sweetness, some bitterness. More spicess, a bit sharp actually. Alcohol finish and lasting spicy aftertaste. Lighter but with quite some warmth.
