Altbier style ale with cloves and allspice.
We took a turn from tradition (as we tend to do) and finished this altbier with clove and allspice. The earthy, herbal, baking spices bring a sense of grounding to the beer. It's absolutely perfect for this season.

16 oz. can. Promised spices do turn up under the tab. Pours a light brown alt color, with an ecru head. Nose is like the usual pumpkin pie spice. Taste has some spice to it, too. But the mouthfeel is kind of watery. Spice is the only thing holding it up, I think. Needs some malt, although there is some hop bitterness aroind the edge.
