Draft at the brewpub. Pours a hazy dark brown color with a thin creamy tan head. Decent head retention. Aroma of tart wheat, earth, banana. The taste is dry wheat, spice, banana, mild chocolate. Medium bodied, lingering tartness.

On draft at the brewpub in Falls Church. Pours a cloudy cola brown with an ecru head. Malty nose. Toasted nut flavors. Medium body with high carbonation.

On tap at the brewhouse. Pours a clear, caramel brown with some sticky, creamy, off white head. Nose is mild, some esters, some banana, clove, a little bread, some malt. Flavor has a prickly black pepper that strikes first, then the smoothing malt sweetness comes through, some grass, a little clove, some anise. Creamy finish.
