Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. It pours a dark brown body, clear, and topped by a small, beige head. Toffee, chocolate and burnt malts on the nose, some fruity hops too. It’s thin on the palate, with a pleasant carbonation level. The flavor has a faint licorice touch in the far back, else it’s toffee, coffee and chocolate. A pleasant one indeed, a beer one could easily down a few of, or drink all day. 110319

Cask-conditioned at the Wenlock Arms, London 11/02/10. Near black with a slight, off-white head. Sweetish milk chocolate and dark fruit aroma. Easy drinking with more chocolate and fruit, a hint of caramel and decent roasty finish. Good.
