330 ml bottle. Hazy orange body with a moderate off-white head. Aroma is very fruity, some caramel, some wheat, spices, yeast and some alcohol. Flavor is fruity and refreshing as well, some caramel malt, light bitterness, spices, wheat and warming alcohol. This beer was a big and positive surprise for me, like a crossover between a strong wheat beer and a malty triple. Barleywine, hmm?

330 ml bottle, as Tamamura Honten Wheat Wine of Shiga Kogen. ABV is 9.5%. Hazy brownish golden colour, moderate white head. Sweetish aroma with notes of marzipan, candy, caramel, alcohol and decaying fruits. The flavour is sweet and alcoholic with notes of caramel, but also strong notes of fruity American(?) hops, with a fairly bitter finish and long aftertaste.

Draught at Ushi-tora. Amber with no head. Aroma: alcohol-wheat-cherry. Very strong but not too complex. Too much alcohol in the mouth. Simple, strong and flavorful, not so complex. A bit too alcoholic and bitter. I think it was much better a couple months later in the bottle, but I lost my notes.
