500ml bottle. Hazy dark golden to amber colour with average to huge, frothy, off-white head. Minimally wheaty and slightly spicy yeasty aroma, a touch of apple and pear. Taste is minimally wheaty, cautious hints of apple, very cautious spicy hints of yeasty; relatively flat carbonation, slightly watery.

Bottle (as Altdorfer Bio-Weizen): Golden, hazy, stable rocky off-white head; moderate citrussy-grapefruity nose with distinctive wheaty aromas; moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, pretty light bodied for a beer of 5.3%, but soft; the usual tartness shows up at the moderately sourish-wheaty finish. Not earth-shaking, but quite O.K. ......

Bottle, from trade with fonefan. It pours an unclear body, golden-orange in color and with a big, creamy off-white to white head leaving some lacings. The aroma has a pleasant herbal hoppyness as well as banana, lemon and pale malts. Not much banana actually, but it works fine anyway. A bit flat on the palate, medium body. Some cloves in the flavor, as well as a blend of banana, lemon and wheat. Quite clove-like finish. Well, I can’t say I’m impressed, but it’s an honest weissbier. 110421
