Introducing Plucky, an English-Style Pale Ale. Made (almost entirely) with Simpsons Golden Promise malt, our favorite pub ale yeast strain and a blend of hops that undoubtedly drives the personality of this beer. That combo leans heavily on late-boil additions of UK-grown Brambling Cross and Fuggles whole leaf hops - neither have proven easy to find stateside but a direct shipment from the UK courtesy of @charlesfaram helped bring Plucky to life. Everything here is understated and best enjoyed by the pint without a fuss but if we had to describe it, the malt is lightly sweet and nutty and those lovely hops are throwing subtle dark fruit, orange marmalade and black tea.

Brewer's Tap draught, 2/2/25.
Clear deep brass. Small, white head.
Golden raisins, light berries and wet earth with fresh biscuit and gentle herb.
Soft, juicy malts with a touch of crumbly biscuit. Dark berries indeed, from hop, with zippy bitterness and fresh herbal suggestions. White grape, unripe pear, warm acorn. Some pretty unusual stuff here. Crazy easy to drink. Malty and dry with good bitterness and minerality on the end.
