Bottled (from bierzwerg.de). Deep reddish amber colour with a mediumsized slightly off-white foamy head. Aroma is bready, sweet maltyness as well as some mild dark dry fruits, and mild alcoholic stinging notes. Flavour is being rather similar along with toffee and some sweetish grainy notes. Quite much too sweet, which makes it quite out of balance.

Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours an almost clear amber with a creamy off-white head. Sweet roast and nuts in the nose. Medium body, sweet burned caramel and a little roast. Very subdued bitterness - and very little Stout character. Drinkable though. 290111

Bottled. A hazy deep red beer with a tan head - stout? not from the looks of it. The aroma has notes of dusty hops, malt, and stored fruits. The flavor has notes of chocolate and dust. The body is light. All in all it is boring.

Bottle @ Dutch "the Good, the Bad & the Ugly" tasting. Clear brown color, short frothy head. Aroma of toast, caramel. Sweet sugary taste. I prefer Hakim as a Algerian mime-player of Sesame street instead of this beer.

bottle from Bierzwerg. Hazy amber-brown colour, mid-sized off-white head, quite persistant. Aroma of caramel. Full-bodied, sweetish malty base with lots of caramel and chocolate, hints of raisins and prunes. A very nice beer, I would drink that again anytime.

(bottle, 33cl) Hazy, amber to copper colour with a short off-white foamy head. Slightly ashy and sweaty toast-malty aroma with notes of cacao, shades of toffee and a tinge of plastic in the background. Moderately sweet flavour with a touch of roasty bitterness, light to medium bodied with a moderate carbonation. Pronounced toasty malt-character with caramel, cacao/chocolate and shy milky accents; medium dry, sweet and slightly burnt-bitter finish with a moderately lasting aftertaste of chocolate and caramel. Reminds me of a likeable Amber Ale. 16.IX.10
