50cl bottle. A clear golden beer with a huge most good lasting white head. Aroma of soft grainy malt, pale malt, straw. Taste of sweet mid grainy malt, cereals, straw, mild bitterness, okay!

Bottle, thanks Franz! Clear golden with little white head. Aroma is metallic corn, lots of hay and straw, some yeasts, grape pips. Not so clean as other Helles, a bit edgier (maybe belgian), if not for the metal it would be great. Taste is full bodied fresh and some uncanny sourness, not that much harsh bitterness, still a little metallic. Sulfur in the finish with some yeasts and metal again. Lots of bad noble hop bitterness. A bit oily and heavy in the mouth with lots of carbonation. A really strange beer.

On tap. Golden colour, fluffy white head. Lasting lacing. aroma of grains, straw, grass, some acidic note. Medium body. Average carbonation. The taste has all three dimensions. The sourness not typical fot German lagers is present, too. Balanced malt & hops at finish. I fairly enjoyed it. --- Beer merged from original tick of de Bassus Baron Augustus Hell Naturtrüb on 13 Jan 2015 at 14:05 - Score: Appearance - 8 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 8 | Overall - 7. Bottle, courtesy of fonefan. A small, off-white head sits on top of a golden body. Clear. The aroma is quite weak, with pale malts and some fruityness. Flavorwise it’s much the same, but more interesting. Medium body, smooth carbonation. A bit metallic in the else bitter, malty and fruity finish. Drinks easily, but is too boring. 110129
