Star coloured ale with a thin head and and sharp, citrus scent. Flavour is slightly hoppy but mostly a bitter lemon/citrus with a flat, bitter aftertaste. Refreshing and distinctive but lacking something I canβt put my finger on.

From Peckhams in the shopping mall at Aberdeen train station. This looks somewhere between a Scottish and a Belgian blonde - a bit like the former but with an extra big fizzy head. The nose has lemon and hay notes and there is more of the same on the taste. The palate has a medium body, a tangy middle texture and a sharp clean finish - not bad. Overall, I like it despite other peopleβs ratings.

Bottle, Victoria Wine, Glasgow. Poured a hazy amber with a thin dirty white head. Biscuity malt aroma, quite sweet. Possibly an off bottle, carbonation too lively, some sourness. Muted, musty hop. A wrong un , and Iβve got cart blanche to stick this down the drain.
