Bottle: Poured a hazy blonde color ale with a relatively large foamy head with average retention and some alight lacing. Aroma of bitter hops with light citrus notes is not as powerful as I would have expected. Taste is a solid mix between some citrus notes with caramel malt and some floral hops with a bitter finish. Body is light with good carbonation. Not bad but nothing really exciting here.

This Canadian IPA from the LCBO pours a deep amber colour with a nice off-white head that remains pretty good and creates a bit of lace. Fresh Cascade hop nose with the grapefruit notes being nicely balanced with a little sweetness from the caramel malts. After breathing a while, the aromas tend to stick out as oranges (so maybe Amarillo are also in there). Wet mouthfeel, making this one easier to consume than dry ones (IPA). Surprisingly not as bitter as expected. The grain really comes through, blending well with citrus. This is pretty much the best middle of the road IPA that I have had. Good drinkability and beautiful hop, without being a hop bomb.

Lacing is alright, big head in the beginning. Dark amber colour. Smells hoppy with some citrus and quite a lot of malt musk. Not a huge palate, but alright. Final aftertaste leaves a little bit of unpleasant astringency, but that’s really the only major flaw. Bottle.

Bottle, 22oz, thx to Enjoyit. A clear, amber beer with a small, off-white head. Pleasant aroma with some lemon peel and a good dash or tropical fruits. Not much on the malty side. The flavor has some bitterness, but is a bit one-tracked on the lemon-peel side. Grapefruit notes and a grassy touch too. Full-bodied and dry, a bit low on carbonation. A decent one, but lacks on most things. 110129

Has an IPA aroma on the malty side. Decent amber body and an okay white head. Flavour is floral notes with not-too-strong IPA hops. Has a soft finish, but not cloying. This is an excellent beer, a very well made IPA.

Bottled (shared by brunnsbe, thanks!). Amber colour ,medium small slightly off-white head. Aroma is bready malts, some mild hops, mild grassyness as well as some mild fruityness. Flavour is fruits, caramel malts, some mild floral notes and crisp crystal maltyness as well. Actually a quite balanced and pleasant IPA.

650mL bottle, pours clear copper with a tiny white head. Aroma of strong piney hops and some malt backing evident. Flavour is a surprisingly potent piney hop punch, with a soapy finish. Exceeded the expectations - very enjoyable.

2014-07-28, draught at St. Augustine’s, Vancouver, 7-5-7-2-14=35
Dark amber color, clean, with creamy head. Timid aroma of caramel and hop with a light fruity touch. Lean moutfeel, off-dry; the malt flavor is quite caramelly, correct bitterness, light fruity hops. The final is a bit dry and weak, and astringent.
Decent.

Red amber color, clean; small head. Mild aroma, but very pleasant: creamy toffee and resiny hop, biscuity, nutty. Unfortunately the rest is not up to the promise; just a very common caramel flavor, with a dryish mouthfeel, correct bitterness, but without hop qualities.
