Cask at Tom’s Tap, Crewe (temporary outside bar). Pours a slightly hazy golden yellow with a sizeable white head and excellent lacing. The aroma is not pronounced, some pine and slight smokiness. In the mouth the bitterness is immediately obvious ! There’s oodles of traditional and floral hops with grapefruit pith and pine bitterness plus hints of cloves and a general yeastiness. Finish is extremely dry. This is absolutely gorgeous ! Exactly what an IPA should be like.
