Cask at Smithfield, Derby. Pours a dull murky brown with minimal off-white head. Just a sweet maltiness in the aroma. Sweetness too in the mouth, though it is somewhat watery. Flavour has malts, plus hints of ash, caramel and treacle. A bit nondescript really.

Cask @ Bridge Bier Huis, Burnley. Very dark with a creamy-frothy head. Has a light roasted nose with a similar taste, and is quite a full bodied mild.
