A nice, robust IPA. It had a lovely dark colour in the glass and a nice hit of hops, but with plenty of malt. Overall a very well balanced IPA that was closer to the English style and all the better for it.

Canned. Orangeish amber colour with a creamy mediumsized white head, which leaves some lace. Aroma is caramel malts, some grass, wood, resin and mild floral notes. Flavour is sweet malts, toffee, some resin, wood, grass and mild floral notes to it. Quite a maltbased IPA.

330ml can @ Chez Sophie. Pours hazy russet brown, small beige head. Aroma is leafy, grassy with pine and light fruity hops. Taste is smooth with an initial burst of apricot / mango with additional caramel malts and nutty shades. The finish produces some charcoal bitterness. Interesting and colourful.

Can from UBrew and drunk at home. Clear russet colour lasting cream head. Big piney resiney hop on the aroma. Some pink grapefruit flavour. Not overly carbonated. Some sweetness. Quite a good ipa with a PNW accent. Hop and some ok toffee. Quite dry on the finish. Yes a rather good APA that tastes more like a IPA. Good though. For a canned beer quite under carbonated which helps it a lot.

Can from The Beerhive. Clear amber body with a medium off-white head. Lively carbonation. Faint lacing. Aroma of blood orange, red grape and parma violets. Flavour of pine needles, grapefruit, minerals and nettles. Medium body with an oily texture. Soft fizz. Well balanced with a tingly hop presence.
