Traditional American weiss beer with a touch of real Wisconsin honey

Featuring a touch of real Wisconsin honey, Leinenkugel's® Honey Weiss is a golden-hued traditional American weiss beer inspired by a classic German style. It's traditionally garnished with a lemon wedge for added citrus aroma that perfectly complements the sweet, subtle flavors of the beer.

Draft at Chula Vista. Filtered orange-tan. Thin, soapy white head. Grainy thin medium to light body. Some light honey tones smooth it out. Really super bland, boring offering. Should be called Water-Weisse.

Not cloyingly sweet, but contains the same honey-heaviness of flavor contained in all pseudo-microbrews with honey in their recipe. Light and watery, fizzy, some yeasty tartness to fend off the encircling carbonation, but all-in-all not worthy of repeat consumption. (7/08)

Clear pale yellow with a big white head. Aroma of grain, herbs and a touch of cardboard. Dry and grainy flavour with that cardboard character.

Bottle. Eh, not a fan at all. Poured a pale cloudy yellow color with moderate head. Aroma is grains, citrus lemon, touch of honey. Flavor was roughly the same. Not the most refreshing weiss, touch of *something* I don’t like.
