Featuring a touch of real Wisconsin honey, Leinenkugel's® Honey Weiss is a golden-hued traditional American weiss beer inspired by a classic German style. It's traditionally garnished with a lemon wedge for added citrus aroma that perfectly complements the sweet, subtle flavors of the beer.

It pours a straw like yellow with a two inch foamy white head. Lots of carbonation is seen rising. The smell had some hops with a bland sort of honey. There really wasn’t anything else to note. The taste had the honey up front and once again nothing that stood out. The palate was pretty light and nothing harsh on the tongue. Overall, well it’s not a bad beer, just not something to scream about, probably would be better in the Summer.

12 oz bottle from the summer variety pack. Expires in a week! Pours clear golden with a collapsing white head. Aroma consists of honey, grain, floral. Taste is sweet, grainy, finishes dry. Has a slight metallic flavor; watery. Crisp. I like the honey, but this is very flawed.

30/VII/2012 - 12Fl. Oz. bottle from Ramstein Airbase Shopping Center @ Crystal's place - bottled: VI/4/12 - (2012-786)
Clear bright yellow beer, solid white head, stable, bit ahdesive. Aroma: little malt, some spices, very faint. MF: ok carbon, light to medium body. Taste: some citrus, bit wheaty, little sweet. Aftertaste: some honey, slightly bitter, hint of citrus. Very weak beer, both in flavor and aroma, yet somehow manages to be very plain and inoffensive.

355ml bottle @ Corey & Angela’s place. Clear golden color, small white head. Don’t smell much. Taste corn, honey, hay, straw. Low body, low to medium carbo.

Pours clear light golden with small white head. Thin lacing, light body, medium carbonation, slightly syrupy texture, and grain aroma. Taste is grain, some honey, some caramel, and crisp finish. Below average.

A little bit too swwet fro me. Rough pour featured a monster (but fast fading ) head, some stickiness in the lacng, but a weak yellow color. The honey comes through as sweetness, which was a little off-putting. I’m really starting to appreciate the German Reinheitsgebot for purity and sticking to the basics....

Freebie sample from bottle at Artomatic. Hazy yellow, white head. Aroma of honey. Taste is honey and caramel. Light body. Doesn’t work.

12oz bottle poured into a shaker. Pours a clear light gold with about a finger of white head. Aroma of skunk and wheat. I don’t smell any honey. Taste is light sweet. Skunk and wheat. Medium bodied with a somewhat thin texture. Lively carbonation and not much of a finish. Overall, I’ve had much worse. Just nothing really special here.

Brown 12fl oz bottle, just out of date when reviewed. The third beer in my random weird tasting evening 28 Jan 2011. Poured into my Westmalle chalice: Kristal clear body, bright, golden colour: head did a runner before I could take a look, thin collar after first sip. Tried to detect some honey smells, but failed, no taste of honey either. The whole experience was a little bland to be honest, lacked any real flavours or individuality, just a boring brew with a name that promised a lot more than it gave. Even if I ever saw it again I’ll not be having another!
