12 ounce can from Joe Canal’s in Iselin, NJ. Number one with a bullet. This is my 150th Icarus Brewing rating, so it had to be a big, bold brew. Dark brown pour. Small creamy tan head. Muted roasted malt nose. Earthy, woody notes. Flavor is rich and complex. Sweet cocoa, coconut, roasted nuts, vanilla and maple syrup. Extremely sweet and sticky. At 13.4% ABV, the alcohol is not assertive. I know that Icarus and Adroit Theory have collaborated in the past, but this is the first time they have brewed together in New Jersey, to my knowledge. This one improves as it warms. Sip it slow and savor it.
