Bottle from Lekkerbier, Sint Nicolaasga. Aroma of dark roasted malt, intense coffee, creamy mocha, espresso, cocoa, caramel, coffee grounds, with typical Jopen liquorice in the finish. Flavour is quite sweet and moderate bitter. Body is above medium, bit sticky sweet. Nice big grindy coffee aroma with that typical Jopen liquorice. I could do without the liquorice but that being said this is a fine Imperial Coffee Stout.

Black with thick, dark, creamy head. Aroma initially offers some tiramisu and then more intense bitter roasted coffee and just a hint of smoke. Texture is thick and lucious. Flavour has plenty of dark malts and coffee. Really bitter. Gently warming alcohol.

Bottle from Geers. Black colour, dark brown foam. Lots of coffee in the nose. Taste is bitter, roasty, dark chocote. Bitter and roasty taste, light caramel notes. Very good! Reminds me a lot of Beer Geek Breakfast.

Bottle from Burg, bottled 09 Jan 2017, 33 cl sample. Dark color, short frothy lacing. Aroma of lots of dark chocolate, spicy and earthy coffee, and a bunch of tobacco. Dark chocolatey bitterness, dry and spicy tobacco, bit coffee. Wow, never had this sensation of fresh van Nelle shag tobacco before. Weird, but interesting.

Bottle @ home. Opaque dark brown to black color, medium sized light to medium brown colored head that diminishes fairly quickly. Aroma is malts, coffee, a hint of espresso and chocolate. Taste malts, chocolate, lightly coffee, a touch of sweetness. Medium body and suitable carbonation. Pretty nice!
