Norðan Kaldi er þriðja tegundin frá Bruggsmiðjunni, og jafnframt fyrsta ölið sem kom frá Kalda .Norðan Kaldi er Amber Öl að breskri fyrirmynd. Gerjaður á tæpum 20 gráðum með ensku Nottingham geri. Humlarnir eru nýsjálenskir Wakatu humlar sem gefa sérstakan og skemmtilega keim af blómum og þurkuðum ávöxtum, fallegi rafbrúni koparliturinn kemur frá tékknesku caramel byggi sem gefur líka keim af karmellu og kandís Gerjunartími er 4-5 vikur. Hann gerjast mjög hratt í byrjun en tekur svo langan tíma að þroskast.

Flaske 0,33l - påspandert - og delt på Tårnrommet 22 Jun 11. Gyldenbrun. Pent kremaktig skum. God søt fruktaroma. Smak av nøtter avløst av en søt, fruktig bitterhet. Tung maltdominert avslutning.

Bought in Reykjavik and brought back for a rating session in Tromsø, thanks to Snegurochka. Clear, amber body, loose, off-white head with splendid duration. Malty nose with hints of earth and caramel, notes of dark fruits. Mid-sweet malt mingled with dark fruits in flavour. Soft carbonated. Drinkable (shared with friends, 22.06.2011).

Bottle @ Southern/Western Denmark Gathering , Ulfborg. Pours amber with a small off white head. Nose is sweet banana, bubblegum, caramel and alcohol. Lots of paper and artificial fruityness. Watery palate . .

Bottle 330ml.Clear medium amber color with a small to average, frothy, good lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white to light beige head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, light roasted malt. Flavor is moderate to heavy sweet and light bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. [20101211]

Bottle, 5.4%. Mild caramelly aroma. Clear brown colour. The flavour is roasted and caramelly, bordering on buttery. OK bitterness, perhaps a little sour.
