Dosc ciekawe jak na wyrob komercyjny. Ladna piana i nawet trwala, aromat slodowo karmelowy, kolor czerwono bursztynowy. W smaku sporo karmelowej nuty i slodowosci, nieco slodkawe, pasowalo znakomicie do deseru. Ale finisz nawet leciutko chmielowy, ale zaznacza sie gdzies w oddali i na dlugo po przelknieciu.

Quite nice for a Portugese beer. Malty and a bit fruity, with a fresh mouthfeel. Decent.

Big shout out to Theydon_Bois who hooked me up with this sucker! Bottle. It pours clear deep amber-brown with a medium white head. The nose is wood, date, prune, brown sugar, crème brûlée and varnish. The taste is earthy, wood, bread, watery, bruised fruit and faint caramel with a dull dry finish. Light-medium body and fine carbonation. Hides abv well, but ultimately rather bland.

Bottle at the hotel in Cascais, from Jumbo Cascais, 12/09/13. Chestnut brown with a good sized light han head that soon collapses to a covering. Carbonation evident. Nose is bready malts, toffee, dark fruit, cake mix. Taste comprises bready malts, brown sugars, fruit loaf, nutty tones, light space, trace of ginger. Medium bodied, moderate carbonation, dry finish. So so but at least not another pale lager !!! The 6%+ alcohol is fairly well disguised.

Bottled 330ml. -Dark amber coloured, small pale beige head, dusty caramel nose. Moderate malty, caramel and slight herbal with hint of milk chocolate in the finish. Pleasant surprise.

Bottle sample at a tasting at the Beer & Beyond shop. Thanks Rotem. Clear amber color. Aroma of caramel, a hint of honey and light spiciness. Sweet flavor with malt, caramel, a bit of cardboard and a bit of alcohol. Light to medium-bodied.

11.2 oz bottle. Pours slightly hazy copper with a medium sustaining beige head. Smells of overbearing caramel, definitely not something I look for. Taste is also overbearing sweet caramel malt; no bitterness. Thin body. Not good.

33cl bottle: best before Feb 2013. Taken on my balcony during a holiday on the Algarve in July 2012. I wasn’t impressed with any beers I tried on the holiday: this beer being about the worst. Sweet and malty from the off: nasty, cheap and so full of caramel that it was almost undrinkable; and I like sweet malty brews normally. Even the 6.2% ABV couldn’t save it. When in Portugal drink the ro’se wine is my advice.

Bottle (thanks afrikadavid). Looks like coke. Way too sweet and also very thin. Not a good dunkel.
