Cask @ The Market Porter. Nice head with good duration. Color is amber. Aroma and taste are straw, caramel, malt, fruits and hops. Soft carbonated and oily. Semi bitter finish.

Cask (handpump) @ Hobgoblin, 2 Broad Street, Reading, Berkshire, England RG1 2BH.Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, caramel, dark roasted, malty, dusty. Flavor is moderate sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, roasted malt bitter. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100429]

@ Royal Oak. Amber-brown, nice lacing. Toasty, nutty brown ale aroma. Light body, getting a bit creamy and nutty as it goes. Good malt complexity.

Cask-conditioned at the Royal Oak, Bath 29/04/10. Dark, reddish-amber in colour with a slight, off-white head. Savoury malt aroma. Flavour was similar, with a touch of fruit and long, bitter finish. Ok.
