It’s hard to imagine what kind of brain is required to make up stories such as the unorthodox, horror story of The Modern Prometheus (Frankenstein) (1818), and it would surprise you to know that it was in fact an 18-year-old Mary Shelley whose dream inspired the legend! We reckon you have to have quite a spicy personality to come up with a novel like so we’ve brewed a spicy Traditional IPA in her honour.

Lightning bolt kv - Traditional IPA. 5.5%. Hazy golden colour with a white head. Malty and light bitter. Medium body.

Third, beer flight, cask, shared with Finn at Brewhouse & Kitchen. Steady white head to a misty amber-golden body, clingy lacing. Inviting smell of tropical fruits. Peachy flavours added by oily hops and grain. Rounded mid-sweet hop fruity ending. Medium bodied. Nice. (Bournemouth 22.10.2019).

Delt med Rune. Gyldenbrun. Litt uklar. Lavt tett skum. God aroma av søte plommer. Smaken balansert. Søt frukt & bær. Lett tørr avslutning.

14/7/2019. Draught at the Brewhouse & Kitchen, Bournemouth. Pours murky orange beige with a small white head. Aroma of hops, bitter citrus, grapefruit, tropical fruits, caramel and herbs. Moderate sweetness and medium bitterness with light tartness. Medium body, slight oily texture, average carbonation.

Keg @ Brewhouse & Kitchen, Bournemouth. Nice head with good duration. Color is hazy golden. Aroma and taste are rich tropical fruits, flowers, fruits, malt and hops. Sweet fruity and bitter finish.

7 3 7 3 14 Cask at Brewhouse & Kitchen, Bournemouth. Clear amber with a small off white head. Aroma of fruity hops, citrus and green weedy hop notes. Flavour is light sweet and moderate bitter. Above light bodied with very soft carbonation.
