Cask (gravity) @ The 16th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2010, Reading, Berkshire England.Clear dark brown color with virtually none head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, chocolate malt, moderate burnt malt, moderate to heavy hoppy, grapefruit, grass. Flavor is heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dry hoppy, roasted. Very nice hoppy mild .. good job >;O). Body is medium to full, texture is oily, carbonation is flat to soft. [20100430]

Cask gravity at Reading BF 2010. Very dark ruby colour, thin bubbly beige head. Wow, that’s good, really good. Lovely rich dark choc malts. Wow that is so intense dark choc. Good hops too. Lovely. Too hoppy to be a mild but lightish in body.

Cask-conditioned at the Marble Arch, Manchester 10/06/09. Near black with reddish undertones and a moderate, off-white head. Big dark chocolate aroma with a hint of blackcurrant in the background. Flavour was also dominated by chocolate with a touch of roastiness and a bitter finish. Very drinkable.
