Copper color. Light toffee nose.Nice rich body that shows toffee, cinnamon, milk chocolate and caramel. Rich and rounded. A bit of surprise spiciness that hits the back of the throat. Dry finish with lingering bitterness. I liked this.

This is 4.5%. Clear copper color, small beige head. Light nose, just some sweetish hoppyness. Light palate. Light woody hoppyness leading to dry finish. Boring ESB, maybe that 5.2% was better.

Cask (gravity) @ The 16th Reading Beer and Cider Festival 2010, Reading, Berkshire England.Clear medium to dark amber color with a average, frothy - fizzy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is moderate malty, nutty, light roasted and chocolate. Flavor is moderate to light light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration, roasted, chocolate. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat. [20100429]

Cask at the Justice Mills (JDW), Aberdeen. Murky chestnut brown with a dense cream head; toffee aroma; creamy in the mouth with biscuity malts anddry hops; slightly smoky finish. Not a bad pint.

Cask at Scottish Real Ale festival 2009 ... copper ... light smokey fruity nose ... fruity malts ... little toffee ... juicy light bitterness ... with some hop in the background ... cask cloisters ...copper ... tan foam head ... light toffee malt ... rich woody toffee ... great depth ...
