Bottle shared thanks to trade with Mesjasz. Black with a small tan head. Aroma of roast, bourbon, big oak, hugely woody, vanilla, caramel, toffee and booze. Flavour is heavy sweet and above moderate bitter. Light full bodied with alcohol warmth and soft carbonation. [02/08/2016]

Barwa niemal czarna, niewielka, jasnobeżowa piana, która jednak utrzymuje się dość długo. W aromacie czekolada, ciemne owoce, kawa. W smaku słodkie, wyraźna nuta kokosowa, słodka i deserowa czekolada, ciemne owoce, nieco rumowości. Paloność też jest, chociaż nie jest jakoś szczególnie wysoka, odrobina kawy, wyczuwalny alkohol, grzeje w przełyk. Goryczka średnia w kierunku wysokiej, niezła treść, wysycenie niskie, choć nie bardzo niskie. Beczka zrobiła robotę aż za bardzo, momentami kokos za bardzo dominuje, ale pije się z przyjemnością. Bardzo dobry RIS, ale do bycia wybitnym trochę mu brakuje.

Butelka 330ml (04.07.2016). Piwo niemal czarne, totalnie nieprzejrzyste. Piana beżowa, słaba, wymuszona ale cienki kożuszek jest całkiem trwały i nawet dość wyraźnie osadza się na szkle. W aromacie słodkie nuty wanilii charakterystyczne dla bourbona, na średnim poziomie intensywności ale bardzo przyjemne, zdecydowanie bardziej "beczkowe" niż w wersji po brandy. W smaku mega przyjemna czekolada przeplata się ze słodką wanilią a na samiutkim finiszu mamy bardzo subtelny, szlachetny alkohol, taki pralinowy. Piwo jest bardzo gładkie, wręcz aksamitne, oleiste, leciutko oblepiające, mega przyjemne do bardzo długiej degustacji. Świetny RIS, świetny balans, genialne ułożenie, nic tylko się zachwycać. A porównując do wersji po brandy to kilka poziomów wyżej.

At first aroma of citrus hops and some dark malts, hints of bourbon barrel ageing. The latter are becoming more apparent with warming and in taste however they are balanced with beer and tannines do not dominate. The beer is pretty sweet with some bitterness, hints of dark chocolate, alcohol is well hidden which makes it pretty easy drinking. Unfortunately the mouthful is not very thick and dark malts are not very complex. Maybe this is because the brewery was not ready for making a 24 plato beer hence malt extracts and dry feeling, maybe it should be less fermented than. Barrel ageing gives a very interesting character to the beer. Not the worst Polish RIS not the best, worth trying.
