Draft @ Mikkeller Bar, Copenhagen. Pours a black color with a small off-white head. Has a roasted malty chocolate and licorice aroma. Roasted malty slightly sweetish chocolate flavor. Has a roasted malty chocolate finish.

Draught @ Mikkeller Bar, Viktoriagade 8BC, kld., DK-1655 Copenhagen, Denmark.Clear dark black color with a average, frothy, good lacing, mostly lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light heavy malty, roasted, burnt, dark dark chocolate. Flavor is heavy sweet and moderate to heavy bitter with a long duration, chocolate beans, cacao. Body is medium, texture is oily - creamy, carbonation is soft. [20101113]

On tap. Pours an opaque dark brown - close to black - with a small beige head. The nose has a little dark chocolate but appears somewhat unclean and really not that appealing. Medium body, hard roast malt and again a little chocolate. Short, dry finish with a very subdued bitterness. 141110

Handbottled, courtesy of Theis. Pours pitch black with a small chocolate brown head. Aroma is roasted malt, thick brown chocolate. Flavour is dry malty, chocolate and dark caramel. Lingering chocolate and mild bitterness. Lasting dark malt and chocolate flavoured.

Draft. A dark brown beer with a red shine under a thin lazing dark brown head. The aroma has notes of sweet and roasted malt as well as lighter notes of berries and chocolate. The flavor is very sweet with primary notes of nuts, but also lighter notes butterscotch, roasted malt, chocolate, and coffee, leading to a dry coffeeish finish.
