Appearance: opaque deep brown with a large beige frothy head of good retention. Aroma: pine needles, citrus, floral hop, coffee. Taste: as described above, pretty dry & bitter. Lingering hoppy ending. Mouth feel: medium body, average carbonation. Overall: nice effort.

Tap. Dark brown, close to black, good thin creamy foam. Aroma: spicy, coniferous, spicy herbs, grapefruit, fruits, good. Taste: malt, a little caramel, grapefruit, needles, a little wood, pleasant bitterness, good.
