Appearance: Opaque deep brown to black. One finger tall ivory-coloured head of low to medium retention. Aroma: dark malts, caramel, dried fruits, liquorice. Taste: Intense. Dark malts, caramel, dried fruits, hop, warming alcohol. Light to medium sweet, light bitter. Mouth feel: Medium plus body, soft to average carbonation Overall: Not bad at all.

Tap. Almost black, coffee foam. Aroma: sweet, caramel, wine, smoked prunes, other dried fruits, brown bread. Sweetish taste, caramel, dark chocolate, prunes, slightly hazy, winey, warms, quite good.
