Bottled. Pale golden with a small white head. Cardboard aroma with some hops. The flavor isn’t much better, it just adds some grain and hay, and is a bit heavier on the hops, but still low. It has a thin body with a decent carbonation level. Discount! (060518)

Bottle. Frothy good head. Mostly lasting. Yellow colour. Breadlike aroma, Nice flavor for a discount beer. Average finish but a bit watery. Too carbonated, but all and all an OK beer.

(Bottle 33 cl) In my version simply called "Vestfyen Ren Pilsner", but I reckon the Krudtugle-version is the exact same beer just with a different label for the Aldi discount markets. "Ren" (pure) in this context means with no brewing-cereal. This is an all-malt beer. But it’s also a very well-hopped pilsener and hence it comes close to a typical North-German pils. Golden with a small head. Soft, a bit low in carbonation with a sweetish malt-base. 040799

Bottle. Metallic aroma. Standard cheap lager. Perhaps slightly less dry than most lagers.

Looks good, yellow with firm white head. That, and the price, is the good news. From the moment you raise it towards your face, you're overwhelmed by cardboard aroma that stays through the whole drinking process. Maybe I ought to re-sample, but I'm not sure I dare.

A pale yellow beer with a fine whit head. The aroma is sweet and malty - a little light. The flavor is dominated by brewmash, but a little thin. It has an OK bitterness and an OK balance - it ends on a brewmashy note. A nice flavor for a pilsener which makes above average for the category.

Nice Head and a clean light hop aroma. Unfortunately followed by a cardboard taste
