If you’re looking for an ordinary wheat beer, you’re barking up the wrong tree. Designed to take the edge off the hot dog days of summer, Hop Dog Double Wheat IPA offers both quenching wheat character and a big hop bite.
After a long winter, it’s time to take the party outside. Hop Dog Double Wheat IPA compliments quintessential summer fare: grilled fish, chicken, pork, shrimp and veggies. And try pairing it with desserts that feature citrus--like, key lime pie or lemon curd cheesecake. This beer works with all that is summer.

Bottle thanks to someone. Pours with a hazy golden body and a white head. Aroma is hoppy, showcasing citrus, and mango. Also a nice grainy sweetness. The taste is grainy, wheat, and citrus. Nice hop profile. Well attenuated with lively carbonation.

Bottle thanks to blutt59. Pours with a small, white head and a hazy golden body. Aroma of marijuana, orange and caramel. Very strong hops. Taste is hoppy, dank and sticky with tons of citrus and a back bone of caramel. Light carbonation, and a bit thin.

Weak aroma and dominated by a somewhat bland grapefruit rind bitterness. Hazy gold liquid with a thick off-white head. The aroma is a bit hard to pick out, but it’s mostly floral hops with a bit of wheat. The taste is quite bitter. Lots of grapefruit rind, some pine resin. Little delicacy. Little booze but a lot of astringency. All that said, it’s still rather refreshing and kinda enjoyable for a little while, but, ultimately, I’m not a fan.

Bomber from Malt & Vine. Pours hazy amber with a 3 finger foamy off-white head. Aroma seems heavily floral. Medium body with foamy carbonation. It’s really bitter - I’m going for citrus and floral - and fairly bready. There is so much hop I’m not certain about the wheat. But this is a really good beer. Finish very bitter. It’s like medicinal hop!

Soapy floral hops. Amber color, sudsy head. Peppery hop finish with mild bready malts not doing much. A bit on the lifeless side.

bottle at Fort Wayne tasting - Pours lightly hazy gold with a small off-white head. It has a big citrus hop aroma with a little malt in the background. The flavor is massive citrus hops, especially grapefruit, and of course as expected for the style it’s very bitter. The wheat malt is definitely there though and makes for an interesting combination. It all works pretty well.
