If you’re looking for an ordinary wheat beer, you’re barking up the wrong tree. Designed to take the edge off the hot dog days of summer, Hop Dog Double Wheat IPA offers both quenching wheat character and a big hop bite.
After a long winter, it’s time to take the party outside. Hop Dog Double Wheat IPA compliments quintessential summer fare: grilled fish, chicken, pork, shrimp and veggies. And try pairing it with desserts that feature citrus--like, key lime pie or lemon curd cheesecake. This beer works with all that is summer.

Bomber pours copper with gold hues and off white head. The aroma is smooth sweet malt and wheat mixing with sweet citrus, spicy hops and orange peel. The taste is pretty bold with varied citrus hops leading to highly bitter hop notes and lighter amounts of citrus hop flavor, some spicy hops and then mild sweet malts deep in the background. It ends pretty thin in body and dry and with tasting lingering citrus hop flavor.

Bottle 65 cl. Courtesy of scrizzz. Pours a clear golden with a small off-white head. Sweet fruit in the nose and citrusy hops. Medium body, rich, sweet fruitiness with a massive, dry hop bite. The finish is almost astringent. 171210

Bottle at Craig’s, Edinburgh tasting, big thanks to Craig for this beer I think he got this one. Shared in company of Craig, Stella, Jan, Charlotte, Fritz and Loz 30.10.10 This was a total revelation for me I really wasn’t expecting it to be as good as it was. Honey, yeasty and wheaty on nose and in mouth, hazy appearance with a filmy white head. Soft in the mouth, quite stark in term’s of bitterness, really pithy. Bloody lovely stuff. A8 A3 T8 P4 Ov16 3.9
