Opaque deep brown, decent beige head. Aroma: dark malts, berry esters, dried fruit, chocolate. Taste: relatively dry, toasted, estery, vinous. Some hop. Light ending bitterness. Mouth feel: medium minus body, appropriate carbonation. Summary: rather good.

Tap. Dark brown, close to black. Aroma: caramel and wine, chocolate, a little vanilla and cream, a little smoked, interesting. Taste: smoked, caramel, cream, light sourness, a little smoked cheese, chocolate, a little cinnamon, good brew.
