Lindeboom Bock: dé klassieker zoals oorspronkelijk bedoeld.

(Bottle 30 cl) Ruby red is what the label claims this beer to be, I’d rather call it mahogany. But pretty it is indeed, with a reddish brown, full, almost greasy head. Very full-bodied, lots of dry caramel with some sweet notes. Some bitterness for balance which succeeds completely making this a very well crafted and harmonious Bock. A beer of very high quality. 080903 --- Beer aliased from original tick of Herfstbock (2016-) on 08 Aug 2005 at 12:38 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 6 | Flavor - 7 | Texture - 6 | Overall - 6.5. Original review text: (Bottle 30 cl) Very red - almost like a Kriek! Clear and filtered, not much head. Sweetish with some late, balancing bitterness. Almost vinous. A decent Bock. 040205

Cloudy dark amber color. Strong malty aroma, caramel, mature, a bit vinous; ripe fruits, dates. Good malty body, strong structure, quite sweet in the front, sweet caramel, rising bitterness, a bit oily, mature.

The aroma is sweet malty with notes of caramel and roasted bread. The color is amber and it has no head. The flavor is sweet malty with roasted notes. It lacks aftertaste.

Clear red-brown color. Typical supermarket-bock. Malty taste. Nothing special. --- Beer aliased from original tick of Herfstbock (2016-) on 10 Oct 2004 at 15:27 - Score: Appearance - 6 | Aroma - 4 | Flavor - 5 | Texture - 4 | Overall - 4.5. Original review text: Rerate: Bottle from Mitra Bunnik, BB Dec 2015, large sample. Clear redbrown color, short brownish grey head. Aroma of lots of caramel, slight burned and roasted, toffee, quite some metallic notes. Quite sweet in taste, metallic notes again, bit stale even. Dry harsh finish. I didnt even know I had given it this low before, but in the rerate, it doesnt get much higher. 2.3 Original from 2004: Clear redbrown color, short off-white head. Aroma is overwhlelmed of caramel malts, hardly breathable. Taste is also caramel malty, quite oneway, pretty sweet. Palate is not too bad though. 1.8
