Bottle 33 cl. Courtesy of bluebetty. Pours a dark orangey brown with beige head. The nose has roast, dark fruits and a whiff of peaty smoke. Solid body, dark fruits and roast with some burned caramel. Hardly any hops in the finish. 021110

Pours dark brown with a small tan head.Nose shows plenty of sweet malt, with caramel, treacle and molasses quite prominent alongside some soft earthy peat. The whisky is subtle, one could easily miss it.Flavours are quite different, with a shift towards smoky peat and oak. The whisky plays a stronger part as well. Still very sweet.Lovely creamy carbonation.

From a 330ml bottle on 13/9/2010. The aroma is roasted malt, brown sugar, caramel and a touch of dark fruit. In the mouth, there’s lots of sweet dark berries, more caramel, and a distinct whisky bitterness at the back of the tongue. Quite nice with a good dose of flavour.

Bottle, 13C. Dark reddish brown with a small fizzy light tan head. Aroma of dark caramel, wood, whisky, berries, cocoa. Taste has berry and toffee sweetness and quite a lot of port and lemon sourness. Didn’t quite gel for me - I kept wanting a little more sweetness or some overt yeastiness. Interesting flavours, though.
