Wässrig hefiger Antrunk. Die dunkle Malzigkeit ist ebenfalls schwach ausgeprägt. Süffig, die Hefigkeit wird dumpf. Etwas langweilig. 12/7/8/8/9/8

Toweringly huge cream-beige head over fully hazy chestnut-brown beer. Sweetish nose with very ripe banana, slightly spicy (nutmeg/clove). Very spicy (same as the nose); fusely & bready flavours, banana. Sweetish to sweet. Fine sourish hint from the wheat; somewhat vinous - hard to determine. Retronasal blackcurrant. Medium bodied, typical wheatslickness, very well-carbonated. Quite good D.W.

500ml bottle [Thanks to Melville’s scrivener in matters of beer]. Hazy dark brown colour with average, frothy, dark beige head. Dark malty aroma with a nuttily touch, slightly spicy, yeasty overtones, a herbal hoppy touch. Taste is dry, minimally tart, slightly herbal hoppy, cautiously dark malty with subtle sweetness and a nuttily touch, very cautious hints of orange and cinnamon; body is too light to make a stand against the lively carbonation.

Bottle (excavated by Q.D. !): Hazy, brownish-amber coloured, small - quickly collapsing - loose white head; sourish toasty nose with a tinge of wheat; moderate sweetish-sourish flavour, medium bodied, quite fizzy - but all in all a smooth MF; sourish-caramelly finish. No glory.....

(bottle) Cloudy, reddish brown colour with a tall and steady tanned foamy head. Sourish berry-fruity aroma with notes of wheat-malt, a tinge of vanilla and very little roast-character. Sour and slightly sweet flavour, light to medium bodied with a lively carbonation. Wheaty malty and berry-fruity taste with shy hints of caramel; sour and slightly sweet wheaty and fruity finish. Too sour for the style. 24.IV.11

Bottle 50 cl. Courtesy of fonefan. Pours a cloudy opaque brown with a dense and frothy beige head leaving some lacework. A little roast and yeast in the nose. Medium body, roasted malt and licorice with the banana and yeast accents being fairly downplayed. Ends dry. Kinda like a "Hefe Brown Ale"! 161010

Bottle bought at the brewery. Looks good, very similar to the dunkel. Starts mild, modest yeasty-malty, not too much. Fruity notes pf plums. Finish a bit spicy with notes of liquorice. Well balanced, quite drinkable. Not bad!
