Appearance: Opaque deep brown to black, one finger tall frothy beige head of medium retention. Aroma: Dark malts, esters, vinous notes, butter cookies, vanilla. Taste: Moderately sweet. Toast and caramel, slightly roasted & salted. Esters, cookies, vanilla, vinous notes, distant hop. Drier ending. Low to light bitterness. Mouth feel: Medium plus body, appropriate carbonation. Summary: Good.
