Autumn Brown Ale
Sierra Nevada uses malt within days of roasting at the peak of its flavor to give Tumbler a gracefully smooth malt character. Two-row pale, crystal 40, chocolate and smoked malts give it a malty complexity. Challenger hops in the boil add balancing bitterness, while more Challengers and some Goldings give just enough hop flavor in the finish to balance all that malt.

Smak och doft av karamell, choklad, malt, nötter, en aning kaffe och bröd i smaken. Mycket kolsyra och en trevlig beska.

Bottle. Thick, stable foam. Dark brown colour. Unpretentious, slightly malty aroma. Malty, slightly smoked flavour, non-aggressive palate. Great on an autumn evening.

Poured at home from a 12 oz bottle. Clear light cola with a white head leaving some lacing. Aroma of coffee and roasted malts. More coffee and chocolate in the taste. Crisp bitter finish.

355 ml. bottle. Dark, brown colour with a creamy, off-white head. Malty aroma with chocolate, light toasted malts, hazelnuts, light hops. Taste is sweet. Medium body with a creamy texture, lively carbonated. Finishes with chocolate and toasted malts, some cocoa and nuts. Light, late hints of citrus hops. Well balanced and crafted brown ale.

Bottle, 5.5%. The aroma starts off surprisingly hoppy, later turns nicely roasted. Clear dark brown colour. Small off-white head. The flavour has a teaish hoppiness at first, but like the aroma, it turns roasted. The aroma has a better roasted note than the flavour, in my opinion. A nice and well-balanced beer.

Pours a chocolate-brown with mid-sized head. Strong malt aroma and the flavor is dominated by malt as well--some chocolate and coffee in there, too. Nice full mouthfeel and clean finish. Not a bad beer, just not my favorite style.
