Plastic barrel at 21st South Down Fest. This version at 6.5%. It pours clear pale gold with no head. The aroma is earthy, barnyard, funky, juicy, tangy, apple skin, light acidity, gooseberry and white grape. The taste is crisp, dry, woody, tannin, bright, apple skin, tartness, white grape, gooseberry, touch of acidity, earth and black tea with a very drying finish. Medium body and drying mouth - feel. Perhaps a touch too dry, but enjoyable nonetheless.
