Old rating from 2012 - 'Dark Star Original' Pint from the cask at the Brewery Shades, Crawley. Pours dark brown with a beige head. Aromas & tastes of fruits, caramel, wood, spices, bread & roasted malt. Medium body. Light bitter finish

Tried at the Cardinals Hat, Lincoln. Deep ruby colour with a light tan head. Aroma stone fruit, stewed fruit and malty. taste light sweet to dry finish medium body.

Cask at the Fat Cat, Pours dark brown with a small off white head. Aroma of light roasted malt, caramel, hop, mild fruit. Light sweetness and medium roasted bitterness. Medium body and slick texture, carbonation is average.

Cask gravity at the St Albans BEER festival 2016. A nutty brown coloured pour with small loose light tan head . Aroma is nutty, earthy malts, hints of choc, berry. Flavour is composed of dried fruits, raisin, berry, nutty, light toasted mats. Palate is semi sweet, woody, moderate condition. Rustic.
