Oude Geuze VAT 110 has foeder No. 110, a cognac storage vat in a previous life, to thank for its light dry but exceptionally full-bodied taste, finished with a hint of vanilla and dry fruit. This Oude Geuze is epitomised by a wealth aromas, cultivated by the wild Brett yeasts in the vat.

Hazy amber. No head. Really, earthy aroma, with a leathery, woody note. Complex aroma, all the lambicy goodness you're looking for. Very leathery and rich palate. Dancing, bright citrus notes. Earthy, touch of bitterness, and maybe a bit of dustiness. Complex, even for this series. Ridiculous.

Bottle shared in London - cheers boys! Pours clear gold with a creamy, white head. Citric tartness in the nose, damp wood, wheat, lemon. Light sweet flavour with decent acidity, more lemon and woody dryness. Medium bodied with massaging carbonation. Clean finish, lightly tart. Solid.

375ml bottle from Vanuxeem. Pours a misty gold, small white bubbles. Aroma has some beautifully fruity funk. Taste similarly is brilliantly fruity, floral with an enticing sweetness, almost BA-like, with cognac echoes and additional lemon and grapefruit notes. Wonderfully complex. Excellent gueuze.

375 ml bottle during a blind tasting with VAT 108, 91 and 92.
Orange, hazy body, with a big, dissipating, frothy, yellowish head.
Aroma of sweet, vanilla-like barrel, citrus, red berries, ripe fruits, apples, pears,
Tastes quite similar, quite a bit more acidic notes, while still really smooth.
Medium, a bit creamy mouthfeel, with an average carbonation.
Finishes moderate sour, medium dry, wooden, moderate sweet, fruity, citric, with apples, pears, some berries.
Tasty. Really smooth and balanced, a bit more on the sweet side for the style, while also with enough sourness. Very lovely barrel notes throughout. Great, diverse stuff, my favourite VAT in the blind tasting.

Capped 375 shared by Marcus. Pours very coppery gold in a dark way with a transient head. Aroma is very lightly sour with notes of pale stone fruits. Approaching med body. Flavor is slightly sour, somewhat fruity in a supporting way, and very woodily astringent. Very easy drinking. Quite nice.

Bottle from the set. Pours a bit hazy (with bottom sediment) golden orange with a medium fizzy white head that dissipates pretty quickly leaving some residual and lacing. Aroma is hay and horse blankets, musty basements, bits of oak tannin, earthy, green apple. Flavor is dry, light tartness, medium earthy musty funk with oak tannin and wet hay. Medium body, soft carbonation. Pretty tasty, but not earth shattering.
