Bottle. A gusher producing a murky brown body and a big, diminishing light beige head. Slightly sourish on the nose, with a pleasant coffee and chocolate scent. Some piney hops. Chocolate, piney hops, some coffee and a pleasant bitterness in the flavor, finishing dry and roasted. Medium to full body. A quite pleasant one, too chocolatey, but nice. 110614

Poured from a bottle. Opaque brown body, initial off-white head that dissipates in my little festival glass. Brown malts to the nose slightly roasted. Dark and brown malts in flavour. Mild bittersweet ending. A very moderate start to my participation at Ølfestivalen in Copenhagen, 27.05.2011).

(Draught at Hilpeä Hauki, Helsinki, 20110410) The beer poured deep dark brown and cloudy. Its head small, quickly disappearing and white. Aroma had malts and sweetness. Palate was medium bodied with medium carbonation. Flavours were malts, roastedness, mildly molasses, hops and bitterness. Aftertaste was mildly roasty and bitter. A bit messy brew.

Dark, almost opaque brown color, steady creamy brownish head. Chocolaty, a bit grassy aroma with some citrusy fruity notes. Light to medium bodied. Caramel, grassy hoppyness, finish is dry woody dark malty. This reminds me about Beer Hunter’s Brown Hole Ale. Decent session brown ale.
