Flaske delt med Einar under kortspill påsken-15: brun med et rødlig skjær og fint skum som holder seg. God aroma og enda bedre smak - ristet brød, nøtter, litt kaffe og lys sjokolade med et behagelig av solbær i avslutningen.

0.5l bottle. Well, there is no coming around that this is an ale and it's brown. A brown ale there for you, and it has a medium sized lingering and quite nicely lacing beige head. On the nose I get a surprising amount of citrussy hops combined with mild chocolate and chocolate milk tones. Mildly roasted and it also has traces of wet grass. Yeah, not bad at all this one. Tastes alright also. It feels light oily in the mouth and it's just above average on the carbonation. Faint acidic woody tone here. A bit like old still kinda grey coffee that's been on the pot a tad to long. Soft chocolaty paper with a strong bitterness. It's not a masterpiece of a brown ale, but it's not all that bad either really. 14.03.2014

Bottle. Pours slightly hazy dark copper brown wit airy light tan head. Clear aroma of malt and yeast, with notes of caramel and nuts and touches of fruit. Roasty flavour, enhanced by quite metallic bitternes, and less-than-perfectly offset by sweetish notes of yeast and malt. Lingering, roasty aftertaste. A drinkable Brown Ale but definitely not the best one I have had.

KØ14. Mildly farty aroma. Cloudy dark brown colour. Good big stable tan head. The flavour is roasted with a good grain note. Rustic. Watery mouthfeel.

Flaske 0,5l fra Vinmonopolet, Tromsø Langnes. Mørkebrun. Brukbart skum med litt farge. Litt lacing. Overraskende frukt-/sukkertøyaroma. Smaken har et klart maltpreg med et anelse røstethet. Svakt syrlig ettersmak med hint av kaffe. Bunnfall igjen i flaska.

Duft av malt, krydder og sjokolade. Dyp mørk brun farge, nesten sort. Ring av brunt skum langs kant. Frisk god smak av krydder, frukter og sjokolade.

12.03.2014, 0,5l bottle @ home:
Small creamy mediumlasting head. Aroma is slightly grainy, caramel malts, wet grain, weeds, hay, toast, hints of chocolate and coffee. Taste is slightly neutral and grainy, weeds, hay, wet grain, caramel, burnt toast, grass, chocolate. Medium bitterness, dry grainy mouthfeel. Boring!
