Slight hazy orange/amber coloured, small off-white head, pleasant perfumy hoppy fruity nose. Sweet malty, strong hoppy and fruity taste with agrumey and caramellish notes. Hoppy alcoholic finish and long-lasting aftertaste. Really nice beer.

Bottle for the Systembolaget Hansacompagniet in Malmö. Shared with heavy and ogivlado.Poured a Lovely hazy amber-red body with a slightly off white head. Soft, sweet herbal and agrumey aroma hop in the nose, maybe some chocolate. Sweetish taste, the aroma hop making its presence stronger than was the norm in the barleywines I’ve had before, more herbal than agrumey. The maltiness is nicely soft. The hop brings some light acidic bitterness.... All in all this is more of an IIPA than a barleywine, it’s light for one, but fine tasting and more to my taste than most.

Bottle. Reddish with a small white head. Dried fruits, caramel, malt, alcohol, sweet. Too much alcohol in the taste, will propably be better with some age.

Bottled:
Pours a deep reddish amber colour with a small head. Toffee, caramel and booze on the nose. Flavour is quite sweet and has notes of treacle, caramel and alcohol. Too young & boozy.

Hos Rune’s 16 Aug 10. Flaske 0,33l. Amber på farge. Høyt luftig skum. Pent. Sterk aroma med innslag av plommer, sitrus og annen frukt. Alkoholen kamuflert – unntatt den varmende effekten. Smaken mye det samme: Plommer, svisker. Litt sherrypreg.

330ml bottle brought back from Systembolaget Klarabergsgatan in Stockholm. Apricot coloured body with a slight haze. A few bubbles at the top. Aroma of dried fruits alongside toffee-like malts. Dried fruits mixed with bready malts in flavour. Alcohol warming to a rather short ending. Lacks a potent flavour profile. Good, but far from my expectations. Shared with Finn at a rating session in Tromsø, 16.09.2010.

Bottle 330ml.Clear medium to dark amber color with a small, frothy - fizzy, fair lacing, mostly diminishing, off-white head. Aroma is moderate to heavy malty, caramel, moderate hoppy, citrus - orange, overriped fruit. Flavor is light heavy sweet and bitter with a long duration, dried fruit. Body is medium, texture is oily, carbonation is soft to flat, finish feel is light alcoholic. [20100911]

Bottled. Clear amber color, short head. Aroma of some caramel malt, bit sugary sweetness, bit hop. Slight sweet taste, malty, caramel. Lacks overall taste.

Cloudy amber with a small off white head. Aroma had toasted malt, caramel, overripe fruits hops. Flavor was quite vinious with toasted malt, caramel and overripe fruits. Sweet finish. Nicely balanced and easy to drink.

Bottled. A deep red beer with an off-white head. The aroma has notes of malt, fruit, caramel, and alcohol. The flavor is sweet with notes of hops, malt, straw, and caramel, leading to a bitter finish.
